Yep, it’s another flashback sequence when Hare passes out. Lord knows what’ll happen when he actually goes to sleep! Coloring this many rabbits and this interior was a challenge, but it was fun to mix up the setting for a page. Now what could Karl be screaming about??? Tune in next week!

Sorry for the delay in part two of Admiral Valam’s showdown with the Sky Hunters! I’ve been busy with Booster Shot Comics! Last week, we presented our Asthma Education Comic at the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities meeting in Atlanta. You can check out the slides to our presentation here. The meeting was great, and while we were there, Gary and I attempted to make our own “live drawing” video of me explaining asthma pathophysiology and medications while I drew live on a whiteboard (in our hotel room). It was tough, but super fun!
You may also notice some updates I made to the website. I’m learning as I go, but I’m digging the new look and some tweaks to the navigation. Let me know if load times are an issue. Anyway, this week’s comic was a doozy to color, but I learned a lot in the process! Stay tuned to the final installment of this flashback(?) of Admiral Valam’s exploits as a bad ass Captain!
Thanks for reading!

As I was going through some old stuff today, I came across an old cartoon I made for a campus magazine when I was 20 years old. At the time, I was a premed college student tended to draw comics instead of study. 12 years later, and I’m still drawing comics (though now often between seeing patients at clinic). Anyway, it was fun to look back and see what at the time I thought was my motivation for drawing comics. Now, I’d probably just tell you I do it because it’s fun. I’m also glad in those years I’ve stopped using markers and learned how to color digitally!
